ZKteco SF100 — IP-Based Fingerprint Access Control Terminal

The ZKteco SF100 is a compact, IP-based fingerprint terminal designed for both network and standalone operation. In network mode, it integrates seamlessly with ZKBio CVAccess software for complete access control and time attendance management. Its Wiegand output makes it flexible enough to work with ZKTeco or any third-party controllers as a slave reader.

With Wiegand input, two SF100 units can be configured in a Master & Slave setup — requiring user verification at both entrance and exit — with anti-passback functionality to maximize security. An auxiliary input interface allows connection to external sources like smoke detectors or emergency switches for instant alarm and door-open response.

Can the ZKteco SF100 work without an internet connection? +

Yes. The SF100 supports standalone mode, which means it can operate completely independently without any network or internet connection. In standalone mode, it stores fingerprint templates and transaction records locally on the device (up to 80,000 records). You can later export data via USB. Network connectivity is only required if you want to sync with ZKBio CVAccess software for centralized management.

Is the ZKteco SF100 compatible with third-party access control systems? +

Yes. The SF100 features a Wiegand output, which is an industry-standard interface. This allows it to connect with ZKTeco controllers as well as most third-party access control panels and controllers as a slave reader. This makes it highly flexible for integration into existing security infrastructure without requiring a full system replacement.

What is the Master & Slave setup and how does it work? +

When two SF100 units are connected via Wiegand input, they can be configured as a Master & Slave pair. In this setup:

One device is placed at the entry point (Master)
One device is placed at the exit point (Slave)
Users must verify their fingerprint at both entrance and exit

This is combined with the anti-passback function to prevent unauthorized re-entry or tailgating — ideal for high-security zones like server rooms, vaults, or restricted factory areas.

What happens in case of a fire or emergency? +

The SF100 includes an auxiliary input interface that can be connected to an external device such as a smoke detector, fire alarm, or emergency switch. When the linkage function is enabled through the device menu, triggering the connected external device will automatically:

Generate an alarm signal from the SF100
Unlock the door immediately to allow safe evacuation

This makes the SF100 compliant with emergency egress requirements for offices and commercial buildings.

Does the SF100 support RFID / access cards? +

Card support is optional on the SF100. It can be configured to support:

EM Cards (125 kHz) — standard proximity cards
IC Cards (13.56 MHz) — Mifare/smart cards

With the card option enabled, the device can store up to 5,000 card records. If your use case requires card-only or card + fingerprint authentication, please confirm the card variant at the time of purchase.

What software does the SF100 work with? +

In network mode, the SF100 is compatible with ZKBio CVAccess — ZKTeco's professional access control and time attendance management software. Through this software you can:

Manage users and fingerprint enrollment centrally
Set access rules, schedules, and time zones
Monitor real-time door events and generate attendance reports
Configure anti-passback and inter-lock rules

The device communicates with the software over TCP/IP on your local network.
